The Handy Dowsing Rod

Over the years, my experience has made the performance of my dowsing more defining.  When I first started using the rod, I found that I could locate buried water and sewer utility lines.  I then found that I could locate buried electric lines to outside lights.  Then I moved to a neighborhood where all of the utilities were buried in the ground. I now found that I could detect TV cables and telephone lines, some no longer in operation.  There is a warning from the utilities: “Before you dig, call us”.  I have found that I can locate all of the utilities on my property and some off the edge of the property.  I have helped the utility workers when it has snowed after their marker lines had been placed.  I was able to show fiber-optic network installers where they crossed through my telephone line and cut it.  Some people have asked me to map out their septic system.  My dowsing rod is now just another basic tool. The attachment in the photo above is a drop pointer that helps to locate the point on the ground where the rod turns on its axis.
